What to Expect at Project Controls Expo USA 2026

Project Controls Expo USA returns to Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. from October 5 to 7, 2026. A workshop day opens the program on Monday, and the main expo runs Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing together more than 800 senior leaders from government, defense, infrastructure, transportation, and energy.ProjectTeam is a joining as a platinum sponsor this year. You will find us exhibiting on the expo floor, hosting depper project controls discussions in a private suite above the field, and leading two presentations on stage. On Tuesday, we will have a panel discussion in the Owners and Government Capital Programmes stream, and on Wednesday we will present in the Technology and Innovation in Project Controls stream.

What the 2026 program covers

The expo is organized into several seminar streams:

Throughout those streams, experts will touch on AI in cost and schedule forecasting, earned value management, PMO governance, and lessons from projects. A project controls platform is only as valuable as the visibility and accountability it gives the owner. ProjectTeam members Josh Witmer, VP of Product Management, and Brian Rothery, VP of Professional Services, sit down with public owners in a panel discussion on what it takes to put project controls technology into service inside a public program.

The panel works through governance, configurability, data access, process alignment, user adoption, and organizational readiness, drawn from real-world implementations. You will leave with a working checklist: what to demand before you sign, what to establish during implementation, what to watch for during rollout, and how to tell whether the technology is delivering public value or simply generating reports.

The panel format concludes with an interactive QA session with the audience, so come with your questions.
